About Us
From 2015 through 2021 our founder, Tom Dongilla, was active in the rideshare community. He provided more than 20,000 rides to people in the Pittsburgh metro area, traveling as far as Washington, D.C.. After collecting many positive comments and suggestions from customers, he decided to strike out on his own by founding Lusso Executive Transportation Service LLC in 2021.
Our vision and mission is very simple:

Why We Chose to Go All Electric
While there are many reasons we use electric vehicles in our fleet, these six reasons are the key factors (in no particular order):
Safety
With a low center of gravity and an emphasis on crush zones, battery electric vehicles (BEV) are considered to be some of the safest vehicles on the road.
Lower Emissions
Electric vehicles have a very low impact on our climate situation due to their focus on the use of renewable energy.
Noise Reduction
BEV’s are capable of providing a smooth and comfortable drive without the noise associated with internal combustion engines (ICE).
No Gasoline Required
In our business, driving ICE vehicles increases costs substantially, even while idling. We pass those savings along to you.
Lower Maintenance
BEV’s have approximately 20 moving parts in their power units. Traditional ICE vehicles have over 200.

A Little of Our Founder's Background
Tom was born and raised in Indiana, Pennsylvania and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1978. Following graduation, Tom served in the United States Army, and after leaving the service in 1984, he worked for several major financial services companies. He then went on to work as a general/operations manager for several startup businesses before returning home to the Pittsburgh area in 2012.
